London, 15th July 2024 - Tourism Malaysia London is delighted to announce its return to the highly anticipated and much enjoyed National Geographic Traveller (UK) Food Festival, taking place from 20th – 21st July 2024 at the Business Design Centre, Islington, London. This immersive event celebrates travel and cuisine, offering visitors a taste of Malaysia's rich culinary heritage.
After three hugely successful years, the National Geographic Traveller (UK) Food Festival is back - bigger and better than ever. As one of Southeast Asia's most vibrant and culturally diverse countries, Malaysia offers a tantalising array of flavours and culinary delights. At the National Geographic Traveller (UK) Food Festival, the Tourism Malaysia London office will showcase Malaysia as a premier foodie destination, inviting visitors to discover the unique fusion of Malay, Chinese, and Indian cuisines that define Malaysia's vibrant food culture. The stand will also offer visitors the chance to explore a range of Malaysia's hospitality and tourism experiences, including diverse accommodation, a wide range of tours, and breathtaking natural attractions.
The festival provides visitors with a unique chance to see world-renowned chefs in action, showcasing their techniques and favourite flavours.
On Sunday 21st July from 2.30pm-3pm, Chef Norman Musa, the renowned Malaysian chef, author and TV host, will be gracing the event’s “Saffron Theatre” for an exclusive Malaysian Street Food Masterclass. Chef Norman Musa will demonstrate how to make roti canai with Malay chicken curry.
Attendees will also have the chance to win a holiday to Malaysia, at the Tourism Malaysia stand, supported by Malaysia Airlines.The prize, a partnership between Tourism Malaysia, Malaysia Airlines and YTL Hotels, includes Malaysia Airlines flights and luxury stays at The Majestic Hotel Kuala Lumpur and Tanjong Jara Resort. The economy flights will included Golden Lounge access in Kuala Lumpur on the return journey.
