London, May 2025 – Tourism Malaysia is proud to unveil its latest collection of Wellness Tourism Packages, offering travellers a range of rejuvenating escapes that blend relaxation, local culture, and nature-based experiences.
Responding to the rising global interest in wellness-focused getaways, these packages cater to modern travellers who increasingly seek holidays that support physical vitality, mental clarity, and emotional balance.
Spanning a wide range of destinations — including Kuala Lumpur, Sabah, Pahang, Perak, Perlis, Kedah, Penang, and Selangor — these thoughtfully crafted packages provide accessible ways for visitors to explore Malaysia while enjoying world-class wellness treatments and immersive cultural activities.
Partnering with 12 leading industry players — including travel agencies, hotels, and wellness centres — Tourism Malaysia has curated 36 unique packages that highlight the country’s rich wellness traditions and natural beauty. Guests can stay at renowned properties such as Banyan Tree Kuala Lumpur and The Datai Langkawi, while experiencing a holistic itinerary that nurtures both body and mind.
Malaysia is home to 365 registered spas under the Ministry of Tourism, Arts and Culture, offering a comprehensive array of therapies ranging from hot stone massages and aromatherapy to hydrotherapy, herbal baths, and Ayurvedic treatments. At the heart of these offerings is the Urutan Malaysia, a signature massage technique that integrates Malay and indigenous healing methods, designed to relax, rejuvenate, and restore balance.
In addition to classic treatments, visitors can indulge in unique wellness experiences such as:
- Traditional Malay massage therapy to release muscle tension
- Qi Gong breathing exercises and Tai Chi for inner calm and energy flow
- Forest walks and bathing rituals to connect with nature and enhance mindfulness
- Revitalising hot spring soaks to soothe body and spirit
Further enriching the packages are cultural, wellness, and nature-based excursions that connect travellers with local life. These include visits to scenic fruit farms, artisanal producers such as coffee roasters or herb growers, and serene rural landscapes — offering a deeper understanding of Malaysia’s heritage and traditions through first-hand experiences. Guests can also engage in wellness activities like guided forest nature walks, breathing exercises amidst lush greenery, and mindfulness practices such as stargazing, all designed to foster a sense of calm and connection with the natural world.
“Malaysia offers a unique wellness experience rooted in our diverse cultural heritage and natural landscapes,” said Mr. Sulaiman Suip, Director of Tourism Malaysia London. “These thoughtfully curated packages are designed to cater to the growing demand for travel that supports physical, mental, and emotional well-being — while giving visitors a genuine sense of place and connection. We’re excited to share this side of Malaysia with the world.”
From Malaysian herbal foot soaks to reflexology and Indian head massages, each package invites visitors to discover Malaysia’s distinctive approach to wellness, where time-honoured techniques meet warm hospitality and a deep connection to nature.
These exclusive Wellness Tourism Packages are valid until 31st December 2026, offering visitors ample time to plan their perfect wellness retreat in Malaysia — whether they’re looking to unwind, explore, or revitalise in a meaningful way.
With a wide variety of experiences available, package pricing varies depending on the selected itinerary and inclusions. For specific pricing information, please refer to the Wellness Tourism Packages brochure available at the following link: WELLNESS PACKAGE
