ATW Travel Marketing assisted with the organisation of attendance of six clients at World Travel Market (WTM) 2023. These clients were: ONYX Hospitality Group, Amari Raaya Maldives, Tourism Malaysia, Sabah Tourism Board, Sarawak Tourism Board, Cross Hotels and Resorts.
Our objective was to raise awareness and secure coverage for diverse portfolio of clients at WTM. Actions included:
- Drafting and finalising Virtual Press Kits with QR codes to be used on the separate stands
- Submitting client news/themes to all WTM editorial deadlines – resulting in coverage in the TTG WTM preview issue and the TTG WTM Dailies
- Preparing a media schedule of appointments including top broadcast and leading travel trade publications to conduct coverage-generating interviews, and consumer media meetings and influencers to discuss press trips / features, etc.
- Organise events and press conferences to announce news and generate awareness
- Organise key interviews. These included: Islam Channel, Breaking Travel News, Travel Weekly, Family Traveller, Travel and tour World, Wanderlust and National Geographic
- Extensive Briefing Pack prepared including Q&A talking points, all media bios and information, and the questions for each specific interview. Also included was UK market information for reference
During the show, the ATW Travel Marketing team were available to assist as required, and a member of the team was present in every interview and meeting.
Post show, the ATW team followed up with all press including following up on coverage links from interviews at the show. Followed up with consumer press to discuss press trip leads. Prepared post-event report with images and meeting minutes.
