London, October 2026 - ONYX Hospitality Group, a leading management company specialising in hotels, resorts, serviced apartments and luxury residences, is celebrating a series of recent recognitions across its portfolio in Asia Pacific.
As ONYX Hospitality Group marks its 60th anniversary in 2026, the latest recognitions come at a significant point in the Group’s development, bringing together more than six decades of Thai hospitality expertise with a contemporary approach shaped by the evolving needs of travellers, partners and team members across the region.
ONYX Hospitality Group Receives Second Consecutive TTG Travel Award At Group level, ONYX Hospitality Group has been voted Best Local Hotel Brand – Thailand for the second consecutive year at the 35th Annual TTG Travel Awards 2026.
The award is determined by votes from readers of TTG Asia, TTG China, TTG India, TTGmice, TTG-BTmice China, TTG associations and TTG Asia Luxury, representing travel and tourism professionals across key markets in Asia Pacific.
Receiving the recognition for a second consecutive year underscores the Group’s continued engagement with the regional travel trade and its focus on delivering value for both guests and industry partners.
The recognition comes as ONYX Hospitality Group continues to pursue its long-term vision, “To be the Best Medium-sized Hospitality Management Company in Asia Pacific,” while strengthening its presence across priority markets in the region.
Oriental Residence Bangkok Receives Third Consecutive MICHELIN Key
At property level, Oriental Residence Bangkok has once again been awarded One MICHELIN Key in the 2026 MICHELIN Guide hotel selection, marking the third consecutive year that the luxury Bangkok property has received the distinction.
Having been recognised in 2024, 2025 and now 2026, the achievement underscores the consistency of the experience delivered by Oriental Residence Bangkok and its team.
The MICHELIN Key distinction recognises hotels that offer particularly outstanding stays, taking into consideration elements including architecture and interior design, quality and consistency of service, personality and character, value for the experience and contribution to the destination.
The latest distinction further demonstrates ONYX Hospitality Group’s experience in managing distinctive hospitality concepts while maintaining consistent standards across its portfolio.
Amari Colombo, Sri Lanka Recognised as a Great Place To Work® Certified™ Recognition has also extended to the people behind the guest experience, with Amari Colombo achieving Great Place To Work® Certified™ for August 2026 to August 2027.
The hotel achieved a 91% Trust Index™ score, providing independent recognition of its workplace culture and employee experience.
The Great Place To Work® assessment considers employees’ experiences across areas including credibility, respect, fairness, pride and camaraderie, providing a measure of organisational culture from the perspective of those working within the business.
For ONYX Hospitality Group, the achievement reinforces the importance of its people as the foundation of the guest experience. Creating workplaces where colleagues feel valued, supported and able to develop is an important part of building strong hotel teams and delivering consistently warm and intuitive hospitality.
Sustainability in Practice Across the Portfolio
Recognition has also extended to the Group’s sustainability efforts, with Amari Pattaya, OZO North Pattaya and Amari Bangsaen receiving awards at the Ultimate Thailand Green Tourism Showcase 2026, organised by the Department of Tourism, Ministry of Tourism and Sports, Thailand.
Amari Pattaya and OZO North Pattaya received awards in the Creativity & Innovation category, while Amari Bangsaen was recognised in the Unique WOW Experience category.
The recognition acknowledges the teams’ efforts to put sustainability into practice while creating meaningful guest experiences, supported by ONYX for Planet, the Group’s sustainability framework, which integrates environmental, social and governance (ESG) principles across its business operations and hotel management.
The recognition also reflects the Group’s broader approach to responsible hospitality, where sustainability is incorporated into the way its properties operate and create experiences for guests and local communities.
Recognition Across the ONYX Hospitality Group Portfolio
Together, these recent recognitions span different aspects of ONYX Hospitality Group’s business — from engagement with the regional travel trade and the quality of the guest experience to workplace culture and the practical application of sustainability across its properties.
They also come during a milestone year for the Group. Celebrating its 60th anniversary in 2026, ONYX Hospitality Group has evolved from its Thai roots into an established hospitality management company with a growing presence across Asia Pacific.
While the Group continues to expand, its approach remains grounded in the qualities that have long defined Thai hospitality — warmth, generosity, creativity and an intuitive understanding of how to make people feel genuinely welcome.
These qualities are increasingly expressed through contemporary design, technology, local experiences and personalisation, enabling individual properties and brands to retain their own identities while benefiting from ONYX Hospitality Group’s regional expertise and management capabilities.
The Group’s portfolio encompasses a range of brands and hospitality concepts across Asia Pacific, including Amari, OZO, Shama and Oriental Residence, each responding to different traveller needs and market segments.
As ONYX Hospitality Group enters its next chapter, these recognitions provide further momentum for its continued growth across the region, while reinforcing the Group’s focus on creating meaningful experiences for guests, strong partnerships with the travel industry, positive environments for the people who deliver its hospitality every day, and more responsible ways of operating for the future.
